Whoa! looks like the action's begun again. If I'd made a movie about it, I'd definitely put in 'it is different' in my press releases...plus the mandatory 'it's a story of love and lust, action and drama, and powerful emotions'. Why, you say? When you've seen as many films as I have, life ceases to hold any surprises. Everything is a pattern that has been seen, written down, choreographed and acted and released and seen countless times over again.

Look around you...Gaze into the distance and look up and west into the little hamlet of Seattle. A little girl lives there, with a deep sense of purpose, a high...very high...bar for achievement, and not a little sense of the spirit that once infused the fair queen Cleopatra. Her infinite drive...for that extra touch to her art...for that extra step on a path no one with her past has ever been before fail to mask a buccaneering streak that has laid to waste countless hearts in its wake. Even as I write this heart wrenching story, a honest-to-the-soil guy toils away in his new field...bare feet and bare backed under a blazing sun....learning from farmers with gaunt frames draped in a modest lungi that barely reaches their knees. Their sinewy bodies and bunched musles and dark skins speak of their bond with the earth...built over centuries of toil and reward and pain and pleasure. He will be one of them...Not for him the wasteful drama of a cube-farm...He has to Return..to his roots..to home....under the sun and in the fields where even the sparrows recognize him as their own...and the earth can heal all their wounds...

So there it is....a girl chasing, no creating, her destiny in a world where the future is today and and the today's already ancient history...and a guy discovering his self away from the very world his love is helping create.
