Indian Ocean performed in Seattle on Wednesday. I must say they are pretty good. They have really strong instrumentals, although the vocals tend to fall a tad flat.. The tabla player (Aseem) is really good. They pulled off cool hits like kandisa and bandhe and they had the crowd grooving.. Aseem does this neat trick of playing percussion on the bass guitar.. You guys should check the video out on youtube.
They are apparently touring the US and playing in 16 more cities. So if anyone is interested, check their schedule.

Yes they do sound a little flat in a concert. Was it an open air concert? I'm guessing they'd sound better indoors, with great acoustics, and a patient and quiet audience..:-). Or you could buy a dvd to listen at home!
